summary:
The Director of Sales is responsible for new business development, customer relations and oversight of customer fulfillment. The role is accountable for identifying and evaluating new business opportunities, managing current customer business relationships negotiating customer related contracts and RFPs. The position is required to build transformational relationships across all areas of customers including C-Suite.

- Provide in-depth knowledge about the current industry market scenario.
- Foster new and current customer relationships to grow sales profitably in a sustainable production mix and clearly understand customer requirements and RFP timelines
- Conduct quarterly customer meetings to discuss forecast and upcoming opportunities and projects
- Assist in marketing functions to promote the competitive advantages of the organization to include but not limited to attending trade shows, representing the organization in the community, and providing input on marketing materials and activities
- Penetrate C-Suite level contacts with current and prospective customers
- Collaboration with Commercialization Team to onboard new customers and items
- Negotiate customer contracts, complete RFPs/RFQs, and respond to customer inquiries
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Education
- College degree preferred and 10+ years’ experience in flexible packaging
- Language Skills
- Must be able to read and interpret English language documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, company handbook, and procedure manuals.
- Must be able to speak and write in English effectively when presenting information to supervisors and fellow employees.
- Must be able to utilize clear, concise, formal business communication
- Strong listening skills
- Mathematical Skills
- Required to add, subtract, multiply and divide in units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- General knowledge of financial information and journal entries
- Reasoning Ability
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Computer Skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
