Summary:
We are working on an Immediate search for our client for a Director of Sales for a company that manufactures Specialty pressure sensitive Label products in PA. This company is a producer of labels, shrink sleeves, converted and die cut parts, and conductive components and reports directly to the President. This opportunity is open because of a promotion, and the company offers printing and converting services to a variety of markets, including medical device, pharmaceutical, and electronics. Your experience should include management in the p/s / die cut or anything related in converting or value-added products. The position offers a Base salary in the $140K-$150K range, plus an attractive bonus opportunity up to 30% of base, full benefits and Expenses. Total first year should approach $180K’s-$190K’s. This position is responsible for cultivating new customer opportunities for converted parts and specialty labels with an emphasis in the medical device and pharmaceutical markets. The National Sales Manager will manage and develop the sales team to maximize customer face time and to drive and deliver top line growth of > 6% and operating profit of > 7%. The National Sales Manager will collaborate with product development, engineering, and sales team to develop a Brand and communication to further the Company’s strategic objectives.
Position Responsibilities:
-Develops and implements strategic sales execution plans that align with the long-term business strategy in order to drive top line growth and profits
-Research potential customers, business sector opportunities, and competition for maximum opportunity
-Hires, develops, and maintains a high-performance sales team
-Ensure sales team is oriented and trained and have established clear sales and contribution margin targets
-Maintains sales responsibility for strategic accounts and projects; visits key customers to identify and network with key buying influences on multiple levels and to assist in building relationships
-Regular attendance assisting with sales calls, visits, planning, reporting, sales process optimization, and sales compensation administration and execution
-Manages support functions essential to sales force productivity and goal attainment
-Prepare the annual strategic sales force business plans with preparation of sales forecasts; and participate in capital planning process, as it
relates to new business opportunities or customer needs.
-Pricing & estimating – participate in process and analyze results to determine market-forces in play by sector
-Product Management: create product-level reporting (requirements, profitability and assessment criteria) for key products
-Assess, implement and train sales team on relevant technologies – including Salesforce, Radius, web conferencing, LinkedIn, etc.
-Administrator and programming for Salesforce.
Research, develop and implement a Brand and Communication strategy, standards and practices company-wide that meet the long- term
plan to grow high value sales of converted parts & specialty labels
-Review and respond to customer surveys, RFQ’s, and RFP’s and review all contracts
-Where appropriate, attend key conferences to network, attend sessions, manage booth, or do customer interviews and focus groups.
-Responsible for managing key House Accounts
Position Requirements:
-Proven track record in exceeding sales and profitability goals
-Knowledge of die-cutting , converted parts, pressure sensitive materials, printed products or anything related with an emphasis on selling into the medical device and pharmaceutical markets is helpful
-7-10+ years of sales and/or business management experience
-Demonstrated ability to acquire new customers and grow top line sales. Desires to have a positive impact on the business with a strong drive for results
-Well organized with strong attention to detail; ability to multi-talk, effectively prioritize and produce results in a dynamic work environment
-Expert in value-selling; working knowledge of business financials and accounting
-Strong business strategy perspective and analytical skills
-Extensive knowledge and management experience in the areas of technology and applications, hardware, software, local and wide area
networks, communications, data systems and applications
-Proficient in use of CRM system such as Salesforce
-Ability to travel
Education:
- College degree in business, scientific, or engineering discipline preferred; some technical and/or mechanical aptitude preferred
